SonRise Church

Greetings and welcome to SonRise Church website.  I was born and raised in Latrobe, PA.  I am married to Joe Poponick, our worship leader and we have been blessed with two wonderful children.  Jill is our oldest and she attends a local college and Josh is attending the Latrobe Senior High.  Both of our children play on the worship team with their father, Jill playing keyboard and Josh is our drummer.  They are great kids and they love the Lord. 

I was born again in 1985 and have been serving the Lord ever since.  I have been working as the church secretary since the beginning of SonRise Church and I love my job.  It is so satisfying to minister to people daily and help people meet their needs.  I have a heart for people and I will try to help anyone in need.  My greatest passion in the church is the children's ministry.   I have been teaching children for over 20 years and it is still so rewarding.  I try to instill God's Word into the children's heart at a very young age so they will not depart from it. 

I have experienced many things over the years working as the church secretary, some good and then some not so good but i know I serve a big God and He is always there.  I am excited about working with our new pastor, David Foster and his lovely wife Jennifer.  They are both spirit filled and on fire for God and I really believe we can impact our community when we unite with them for the vision of SonRise Church.   If you are looking for a new church home and want to experience God in a mighty way, I invite you to come and visit SonRise Church real soon.
